Cleo and the band on a glittering disco stage under a mirror ball

Paws up.
Lights down.

Familiar faces. Favorite melodies. A whole new disco adventure.

Our story

Every musical family has a secret. Ours has a dance beat.

For years the Stray Dogs family wandered through jazz, orchestral arrangements, rock and blues. Respectable stuff. Meanwhile, behind a closed door, something shinier was being rehearsed.

The ladies of the family had long wanted something brighter. More danceable. Full of the synths, basslines and shameless melodies of the 80s and 90s. A small experiment turned into a few albums' worth of music, and then it got out of hand in the best way.

On the European tour we finally let the secret loose. At the center of it all stands Cleo, who sings, glitters and supervises four enthusiastic dogs. Some songs have her voice, some have wordless melodies, some are purely instrumental. All of them have a groove.

Same family. A whole new groove.

Meet the band

Five members, zero dress code violations

Cleo in a silver sequined outfit singing into a classic microphone

Cleo

Lead vocals

Glamour, voice and crowd control. She joined four dogs and became tour manager, stylist and the only adult. Her entrance is part of the act, which is why she's never on time. Sound check is negotiable. Sequins are not.

Charlie, a shaggy tan dog, playing a glittering orange electric guitar

Charlie

Guitar

One orange glitter guitar, roughly nine hundred opinions. Rhythm is his job. Solos are his hobby, and the two have never been properly introduced. The pale jacket says relaxed. The pink shirt says otherwise.

Duke, a shaggy tan dog in a blue headband, playing a glittering blue bass

Duke

Bass

Duke considers the bassline the only honest thing in music and will say so between songs. Blue headband, spiral pendant, total calm. If the dance floor is standing, that's Duke. If it's moving, also Duke.

Max, a shaggy tan dog in a DISCO shirt, drumming on a sparkling pink kit

Max

Drums

Max's idea of subtlety is hitting it harder. His shirt says DISCO in case anyone forgets which band they're in, which has happened. Once asked to play a bit quieter, he heard "a bit more."

Sam, a shaggy tan dog in pink sunglasses and a magenta sequin jacket, at a synthesizer

Sam

Keyboards & synths

Sam takes synth patches extremely seriously and everything else not at all. He once spent forty minutes on a single bleep and called it "the shimmer." Pink sunglasses, indoors, at night. Nobody has seen his eyes in months.

Music

Albums and listening

Some songs have Cleo, some have wordless melodies, some are purely instrumental. Pick one and move your paws.
